M.Ed. Candidate in Curriculum Studies, STEMS² Cohort 9
Aloha mai kākou ʻO Kelsie koʻu inoa, a no Mililani mai au, akā ke noho nei au i Mānoa. I am a graduate student at the University of Hawaiʻi at Mānoa (UHM) in Curriculum Studies, specifically in the STEMS² concentration. I am also a recent graduate from UHM, earning a B.S. in Marine Biology, a Botany minor, and a Marine Option Program (MOP) certificate in Marine Graphics. I currently work as a Graduate Assistant (GA) at the Nagatani Academic Center (NAC) and as a board member for Ka Lau o Ka Lāhui, an ʻāina-based organization at UHM. Some of my educational goals include potentially earning a Ph.D. in Hawaiian Ethnobotany with a focus on limu and becoming a professor later or working in a Non-Profit Organization's education department.
I created this website to publish curricula and resource sets I am working on as a graduate student and rising educator. Please read below to learn more about my background in science and education!
